osFileManager requires PHP and MySQL. Make sure you have these before trying to install and run it.

If your webhost does not support either of those, consider signing up for one that does.

Some may also be interested in another project called phpPowerBrowse. Instead of a file read/writer it is a readonly script and lets you browse files, view source code of php files, protect directories from being read, make password protected directories, etc. All icons and logos for it are contained within the file so there is nothing but one file you need.
